We have decided to offer the unique package of Radio Hire for your event as well as providing Medical Cover. We can supply Icom UHF handheld radios for all your communication needs whilst running any event!

We provide a support service and are fully licensed to supply radios to your event.

This service can be taken independent to medical cover.

The above radio hire consists of 16 Channel radios (9 Channels in use), Complete with charger stack, batteries and carry case.

The above prices will also attract a £20 administration charge per hire (Not per day).

Radio Hire is subject to Terms and Conditions, a deposit is required and an agreement between Manchester Medical Services Limited and the company who is hiring the radios is required.

Please note - radio hire is regulated by OFCOM who authorise our radio licence - subject to terms and conditions.

All radio hire requires a deposit of £600 which is refundable on return of the radios in the same condition as you received them.

Radio Communications Training (Business Users)

This course is designed for any radio users be they medical professional, security personnel, shop workers in fact any groups who will use radio communication equipment in their day to day roles and wish to attain a more professional level of use in order to achieve optimum use of their equipment 

The Radio Communications syllabus includes:

Ø  Use of the phonetic alphabet            

Ø  Recognise factors that affect radio use

Ø  Clear use of voice and language       

Ø  Emergency protocols & assistance calls

Ø  The 24 hour clock use in radio communications.      

Ø  Basic radio controls

Ø  Basic care & Maintenance of equipment      

Ø  Standard phrases in use

Ø  Legal aspects of radio use                         

Ø  Client specific instruction

As all radio users’ requirements are deemed to be location and company specific each course will be tailored to meet your specific needs, a generic training delivery template will be amended once your needs have been established; this will be arrived at via meetings and two way information flow in order to present a fully tailored package for you and your staff.

The course is designed to be delivered in a class room format with practical elements and consists of one half day (four hours) on site session.

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student; there is no formal final examination. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard will be issued with a certificate.
