Hi all, just a few quick questions you should all be asking your event
venue supplier in
relation to medical cover……….
Question: Are your first aid staff insured and
capable / available to treat members of the public?
We are finding that more and more venues are doubling up their door
staff as their first aid staff but you may find that these guys are
Not fully insured, MMS as a limited company are fully insured and can
supply copies of our insurance certificates and qualifications
Not adequately trained to treat the members of the public (remember most
people these days either have a first aid at work certificate or they
are simply trained as an appointed persons)
Too busy dealing with their 1st role of door staff and not able to offer
your guests the kind of treatment they deserve
Question: Has the venue carried out a full risk
survey in line with the Purple Guide
Most venues don’t realise that it is there responsibility to either
carry out a full risk assessment of to appoint someone to cover this
vital role
Question: Does the event supply adequate 1st aid
provisions?
A first aid kit for 1 to 35 people might be fine during the day but when
your 200+ guests turn up its then woefully inadequate! M.M.S. can supply
start of the art equipment and items that most basic 1st aiders are not
trained in the use of such as A.E.D. (de-fibs) Medical Gasses (oxygen
and Entonox) carrying equipment (chairs, slides etc)
Question: What advanced staff are there for a high
risk event?
You’ll probably find the answer is none whereas M.M.S. can supply you
staff from advanced first aiders to state registered paramedics and even
doctors!!
So don’t delay ask these questions today and even if you get the right
sounding answers we are always here to provide you with a no obligation
quote even if it’s just to benchmark your current supplier
