Manchester Medical
Services Launch Water Rescue Team
We are now delighted to announce the
latest addition to these existing teams: our in Water Rescue Medics (WaRM)
who are (as the name suggests) a team of experienced divers & P.A.D.I.
instructors who also hold relevant dive medical skills meaning they can
attend to & treat a casualty both in & on the water they have now come
together to form these exciting new teams.

Manchester
International Festival Manchester
International Festival is the world’s first festival of original, new
work and special events and takes place in and around Manchester city
centre.
The Festival
launched in 2007 as an artist-led, commissioning festival presenting new
works from across the spectrum of performing arts, music, visual arts
and popular culture.
With a wide-ranging
programme and more free events, the second Festival, taking place in
July 2009, is designed to be exhilarating, thought provoking and
welcoming to all.

Manchester Medical
Services provide medical cover at Manchester City Football Club
On Friday the 17th
and Saturday the 18th of July Manchester Medical Services
were proud to cover the two-day event to celebrate the launch of the new
Manchester City football strip held on one of the large car parks at
Manchester City Football Clubs home ground in Eastland's area of
Manchester.

Manchester Medical
Services at Old Trafford Football Ground
This last weekend
(30th May 2009) saw the Cystic Fibrosis Trust (www.cftrust.org.uk)
fundraising event take place at Wembley North, also known as Manchester
United’s Old Trafford ground. FREE medical provision was provided
of charge.

Out2Dance Festival -
Blackpool
Manchester Medical Services broke out
their dancing shoes recently and made the trip to up the coast to the
Vegas of the North West of England… Blackpool.

Hungry Pigeon -
Concert
No Manchester Medical Services have not
suddenly become pigeon fanciers but were on hand to provide medical
cover at the Hungry Pigeon Festival which took place in the Northern
Quarter throughout May 2009

TSKAGB Karate
Tournament
The TSKAGB (Traditional Shotokan Karate
Association of Great Britain) invited Manchester Medical Services away
from home recently to their annual tournament in Hatfield,
Hertfordshire.

Mottram Spring Show
The May Day bank holiday weekend once
again found Manchester Medical Services personnel in a field on a hill
this time at the Mottram Spring Show.

For the past two years the medical cover
at the Accrington lions boxing evening has been provided by Manchester
Medical Services Ltd. Mainly down to our level of commitment with our
guaranteed cover offer, The lions have in the past been let down at very
short notice so our reputation for 100% cover of all our contracts was a
welcome change to this

Cycle Response Unit
Manchester Medical
Services are please to have taken delivery of two mountain bike response
cycles to form their new bike unit, these cycles will soon be out on the
roads and events in an around the North West and should become a regular
sight.

Remembrance Day
Parade - Leigh

Remembrance Sunday
is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given
their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today. On this day people
across the nation pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by our brave
Service men and women.

Haigh Hall Fireworks
This years annual
bonfire and fireworks event at Haigh Hall welcomed Manchester Medical
Services for the first time.
Drawing on our
expertise and excellent working relationship with the health and safety
management team Manchester Medical Services were asked to provide cover
for 2,500 guests who braved the cold to watch the spectacular fireworks
and try to keep warm around the bonfire.

Salford City Council
Manchester Medical
Services have recently been appointed as one of Salford City Councils
newest event medical providers.
The city of
Salford covers 37 square miles and the five districts of Salford,
Eccles, Worsley, Irlam & Cadishead, and Swinton & Pendlebury. Some
220,000 people are proud to call Salford their home and there are
numerous events on offer for them to enjoy provided by the council’s
major events planning team.

Clarence Dock - Leeds Leeds’ largest
waterfront and most eye-catching £250 million mixed-use development,
Clarence Dock, has reached completion, utilising 1.5 million sq ft of
dynamic space to renovate the city’s waterside location into a modern,
exciting and innovative urban and the ultimate city destination.

The Warehouse Project
Just as it was three
years ago when The Warehouse Project opened those gates to Boddingtons.
The Warehouse Project remains a big experiment. One that continues to
evolve quite naturally… All involved never really know exactly how it’s
going to turn out and there is nothing that has gone before that does it
quite like this.

inspirational and well run events that get endorphins pumping and puts a

Chaand Raat (literally, Night of the
Moon) is a Hindi, Urdu and Bengali phrase used in India, Pakistan and
Bangladesh for the eve of the Muslim festival of Eid

World Motocross
World Motocross Racing – Donington Park
Manchester Medical
Services raced into action recently when we provided Paramedic and first
aid cover at the World Motocross Racing event

Manchester Pride
The 2008 August Bank holiday
weekend (22nd to 25th August) saw Manchester
Medical Services go into overdrive to provide full medical cover for the
2008 Manchester Pride festival. Manchester Pride is Manchester’s annual
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) festival, which takes
place in around the Village area of Manchester City centre, one of the
largest of its type in Europe and attracts tens of thousands of visitors
from around the world over the course of the weekend

Project 360: Bristol
The weekend of the 30th
and 31st of August again saw Manchester Medical Services
spread it’s wings and belie it’s Mancunian name by travelling to Bristol
to cover the Project 360 event for Bristol council.

Down Your Street: Key 103
Manchester Medical Services returned to it’s roots in the month of
August with a sole medical contract supplier booking for Manchester’s
very own Key 103 radio station and their Down Your Street events which
were a marketing initiative in conjunction with soft drink giants Vimto

Standon Calling
In a large field in
the grounds of a 16th Century Hertfordshire manor house Manchester
Medical Services could recently be found, no we’ve not taken up farming
but were there to offer expert medical cover for the 2008 Standon
Calling Festival.
